TB273 Rev6 Centroid CNC PC Minimum Hardware and Benchmark Requirements
Purpose
To provide the minimum hardware and benchmark requirements for a Centroid CNC PC proper CNC control
operation
Requirements
Centroid suggests using an Intel NUC model #NUC10i3FNK / NUC10i3FNH or newer and a Touch Screen
LCD display with 16 9 aspect ratio 1920x1080 preferred as the CNC12 software is a perfect fit at this size
You can purchase an Intel NUC from Centroid with Windows 10 pre configured for CNC use and Centroid
Mill and Lathe CNC software preloaded ready to run here …
But if you want to build buy or use your own CNCPC here are the Centroid CNCPC requirements
1 The PC CPU must have a SINGLE CORE minimum benchmark of 1500 for milling machines 1000 for Lathes

Notice that this is the “Single Thread” benchmarks chart
2 While not required it is highly recommended to use a SSD solid state drive Centroid only recommends Intel
or Samsung SSD’s
3 Minimum 4 GB Ram
4 Windows 10 Or Windows 11 that is configured for CNC control Both Home or Pro versions are compatible

5 Ethernet port USB to Ethernet Adapters are not supported
6 Use of the Virtual Control Panel VCP requires a Widescreen monitor A 16 9 aspect ratio 1920x1080
resolution is recommended however lower resolution 16 9 and 16 10 monitors will work with the VCP
automatically resizing A 4 3 aspect ratio monitor is usable with VCP turned off
7 The latest Windows Updates this includes the latest Net Framework update

1 Internet connection for remote support thru TeamViewer Internet connection can be achieved via Wifi or
Ethernet cable requires 2nd Ethernet port Centroid uses TeamViewer for support which can be found here
