TB010 Rev1 LCD Display Conn
NOTE This procedure is intended for qualified technicians only You may void the warranty of your control if
unqualified personnel proceed with the modification! The purpose of this document is to provide instructions
on a field expedient repair of LCD connector problems
Objective
This procedure is to replace the connection to the LCD Display After several years in use in a vibrating
environment the original connector would begin to show signs of intermittent display problems such as a
jumping display blanking out etc These symptoms can be induced with a tap on the side of the control
DISCONNECT ALL POWER TO THE CONTROL BEFORE PROCEEDING!

Step 1 Disconnect cables and remove the control from the bracket arm While on the bench remove all the
7/32 Allen screws from the front panel being careful not to let the front cover drop
Step 2 Locate the LCD Connector on the right side of the LCD and disconnect the ribbon cable Remove
two 2 screws that secure the old connector and discard the old connector and the metal brace
Step 3 Insert two 2 screws from the kit through the holes of the new circuit board connector through the
standoffs and into the front panel Use a drop of locktite on the screw CAUTION Hand tighten only! Do not
over tighten
Step 4 Reconnect the ribbon cable onto the new connector and re assemble the front panel to the control
